Inbetween Christmas Fairs

Good evening my cochet buddies

As mentioned previously I attended a Christmas Fair a two day event.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and sold quite a bit of my crafty projects so all was good.
It was a night of fairground atractions in the streets, fireworks and switching on of the town lights so very busy, first day was long but so much going on definately going to do it next year.

No pics at moment of this craft stall but might be a possibility for next blog.

However have a pic of stall at the school fair I did. It was just a couple of hours one evening not as hugely successful as the two day event but good fun all the same.

We were on tiny tables the the enfant children use so it was difficult to set things out but I hade a good go.

Here is a peek at my hooky project for myself its a multi colour blanket for my holiday home on wheels, I love it. Had to put it on a back burner whilst i finished off bits and bobs for my craft fair but will be back on it soon.

And not forgetting hubby - he has been very creative in the kitchen by producing some very tasty huntsman pies yum yum yum.

Oh plus one small pork pie yum yum

Had a go at some bunting and was very pleased with how it turned out.

And to follow a few pics of goodies I took to the fair :-

Little brooches

Hair bands

Candy pink and cream hat

snowy saying high to the goose

snowy back on the sideboard

And another hello kitty style doll the first one made was very popular and sold so this is mark two !!
Along with a Christmas bargain from one of my local charity shops.

That has now up dated you all with my hookey bits.
I have a few more in progress as I one more craft fair on Sunday so trying to add a few more items before then so my hook is calling.
I will take pics I promise and try to keep a regular blog and not be so hap-hazzard.

till the next time
Happy hooking and hoeing

Hi I'm back

Hello all

I am sorry that I have been absent for a few weeks but although I only work part time I obviously do not organise my time very well and my hook calls me more than the lap top.
We have been up to all sorts including my birthday which was spent away in the holiday home on wheels for four days with my sister joining us for the week end again.
We went to a site near Chesterfield. On the Friday we went to Bakewell and had a lovely day there just absorbing the scenery and prettiness of the town. On Saturday we went into Chesterfield and mooched around the shops with the intention of getting some much needed christmas shopping but it didnt work out like that. We had some lovely meals out and about and watched the fireworks going off all around whilst sitting in our home on wheels on bonfire night.
I have a few pics of our previous on wheels time:-

This is the site at malvern the picture does not do it justice the view was fab.

Last Day of Hols

Hi
Yet again its been a while but we are still away on holiday. Luckily for me I have all the equipment I need to do my blog.
I have been busy whilst away as I find when we have done our sight seeing and retire back to our lovley holiday home on wheels I have lots of free relaxation time to get out my yarn and hooks.

This is work in progress on a teddy I made from a lovely book called Adorable Crochet for Babies and Toddlers by Lesley Stanfield

And here is the finished teddy complete with his own waistcoat I love him and decided on a run of toys !!!!

I also made some cute cotton baby shoes had to end up making three to get two the right size !!!! I gave them to the intended baby before I got a picture but I still have the third so may take a pic of that and show you !!

This is the frog from the book Amigurumi by Lan-Anh Bui & Josephine Wan, bit of fun hey ?
and talking of fun..........

This is an Alien from the October edition of Inside Crochet the baby aliens tuck into the body fab isnt it ??

We went away for two weeks starting off in Tewkesbury camping right next door to the Abbey.......

How beautiful is this building we went in side a couple of times the second time being when my sister had joined us for the week end and they had an orchestra inside which were practising for a concert that evening it was lovely.

And to follow some more lovley snaps of Tewkesbury

There were some lovely spots to seek out.

Here is a teddy which I used a larger hook than required and thicker wool and used the design from Cute & Easy Crochet by Nicki Trench another great little book.

Some of my yarnie toys were finshed and taken home from my previous hols and photographed at home others were completed here in the van some are still to be photographed and up loaded but they will appear in next blog.

Another teddy work in progress this time proper size and yarn completed little bear to be shown next time.

Whilst we were at Tewkesbury the Mop Fair came to town we had a wonder round. I just love sounds, the smells and the lights.

Thats all for now, not easy in the holiday home on wheels to hold type etc the lap top in tiny spaces.

Its home tomorrow from our travels through Tewkesbury, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water, Malvern and Bourneville.
Bye for now
Happy Hooking and Hoeing
